William Hope Hodgson (1877-1918), boy-hero, body beautiful, the man who kept Houdini shackled for longer than anyone else, author, sci-fi pioneer and, ultimately, killed in action in the closing stages of World War I.

I am currently writing my critical biography of "Hope" as he was known - WHH: Scenes from a Short Life.
